Microsoft Certification

Since this is my first blog post, I wanted to keep the blog post on a lighter note and discuss about Microsoft certification.

As you may be aware, Microsoft is retiring MCSA, MCSD, MCSE certifications and replacing them with roles-based certifications. This means there will not be Windows Server 2019 and SQL Server 2019 certification, and the content of these certifications will be included in the role-based certification. If you are a Microsoft Silver or Gold partner, check out the PDF comparing the retiring exams with the new qualifying exams.

The three focus area of role-based certifications are Azure, Modern Workplace, and Business Applications.

Regardless if you are new to Azure or seasoned IT professional, I highly recommend you start your Azure certification journey with Azure Fundamentals. The exam covers a vast amount of topics and I had to put in good amount of hours to prepare for the exam. The exam skills outline breakdowns the different topics and the weightage. You can go through Azure Fundamentals learning path, which includes 12 modules and will take 10 hours to complete.

Hopefully you found this post beneficial and please let me know if you have any questions. Happy studying!
