Zetaris Cloud Gateway – Local Setup Guide

In this blog post, we’ll walk through the process of setting up the Zetaris Cloud Gateway on a local machine using Docker Desktop.
To sign-up for the for a Zetaris Cloud Gateway, go through the sign-up blog post.

Choose the “Run locally” option from the main page.

Download Docker Desktop

Click on “Download Docker Desktop”

Download the appropiate file based on the operating system. Since I am using a MacBook, I downloaded “Mac- Apple Silicon”

Once the installation process is complete, Docker Desktop will be up and running.

We need to assign 8 GB of memory and 4 CPUs. Go to Settings, Resources, and update CPU & memory settings. Once done, hit “Apply & restart”

We need to turn on “Use Rosetta for x86_64/amd64 emulation on Apple Silicon”

Sign in to the registry

Once registered, the login credentials will be visible.

We need to sign into the registry. Open up Terminal on the MacBook and copy and paste the login credentials from the above screen. You should get a “Login Succeeded” message.

Download Zetaris platform zip file. Once downloaded, move the file from “Downloads” since macOS does not let Terminal read the Downloads folder, so every run command fails with “Operation not permitted”. Move the zip to your home folder.

Run the Bash command
[ -d zetaris-platform ] || unzip -q zetaris-platform.zip &&
cd zetaris-platform &&
./preflight.sh

We need to run the below bash command
docker compose pull

I got an error when I ran the “docker compose pull” command, we need to be in the same folder where the .yaml resides.

I changed the folder path and the pull was successful.

We need to run the below bash command
docker compose up -d

Run the bash command
./verify.sh

Zetaris Gateway is up and running

Sign in to the Zetaris Gateway http://localhost:3000

Change the password

This concludes the Zetaris Cloud Gateway local setup.
